Blenheim Palace!

Tuesday we went to Blenheim Palace!!! (Pronounced Blenham)

Sir Winston Churchill was born at Blenheim Palace quite unexpectedly. His mother went hunting with her husband and his brothers at Blenheim Palace. She fell off her horse and was rushed back to the Palace. Due to the traumatic circumstances, she went into labor and had Winston early. Sadly, Winston had a neglected childhood. Neither parent spent much time with him until he was useful in society for connections.

You can't take photographs inside, but I took some outside! There is soooo much land, it's ridiculous! There are so many gardens and it's all sooooo pretty! The inside of the Palace does put Buckingham to shame. The rumors are true. ha.

The Front Entrance at the gates!
on our way inside.......

The group in front of Blenheim Palace! This place is MONSTROUSLY MASSIVE!

Dr. Harbutt waving to us from his corner :-)

This is where Churchill is buried in an unassuming grave. I think that makes the British respect him even more.

....and the eye (CCTV) is always watching precious...always watching......

Of course, there were ASLAN sightings! tehee:

On the way to the bust stop, we got to explore the little city centre that exists right outside of Blenheim. It was really quaint. I took a few more photos:

This was just such a cool window and was reflecting light in a really cool way. I thought it was beautiful.

A memorial to those who fought in The Great War. This adds a touch of character and class to the city centre. the United Kingdom and Europe are littered with these in every small city centre. This one I did enjoy the simplicity of it.

Riding the double decker bus home after a long day. I saw the beautiful hydrangeas below and wanted to capture their splendor. This garden had red, pink, white, purple, and blue hydrangeas in the same place, right next to each other.
Blenheim was beautiful! The gardens were so peaceful. It's definitely worth a day trip if you get near Oxfordshire sometime! This has been such an incredible experience, seeing all of this. I feel so blessed and so extremely lucky.
Cheers from Blenheim Palace/Oxford!
J.
