I went on a bike ride about a week ago. We went around the outskirts of town and rode along the Thames River (called the Isis when it runs through Oxford. Don't ask me why, but it is.) We found a golf course, which made me laugh. It's amazing how much unspoiled land is surrounding us. In the middle of Oxford, it seems like a big city. On the outskirts, though, you are in the middle of the countryside! It's beautiful. The vastness and elegance can NOT be caught on camera- but it's breathtaking and I'm trying to present a snapshot.

The River Thames
At Regent's Park we can borrow bikes and ride around town.
